Ferry to Tierra del Fuego and small problem with bike ... :o(
Hola,
Today an easy day, we only cycled to the Ferry terminal and from there we took the Ferry to Povenir, a small city on Tierra del Fuego, (Vuurland). In the morning I noticed that my front brake wasn´t working anymore....
The Ferry ride was nice, there was almost no wind, the sea,the straight of Magallan,was calm the sun was shining, and we enjoyd the views. Some dolphins were spotted near the bow of the ship, but I haven´t seen them.
We are now in a nice hotel, and we are leaving tomorrow for a 150 kilometer unpaved ride, from west to east, so hopefully we will have the wind in our back.

Trust us oldies to come prepared!!! Good job Gerrit was there as even down little hills with no front brake would have been FUN, not! Thought you guys were camping today so good that you are in a hotel instead. Nearly there, hope there are no more technical problems for you. I could not get to the fracture clinic yesterday as rain fell on frozen roads in the morning and there was traffic chaos, so must go next week - but all is now better so just a pain in the arse I have to wait another week.

Wanneer je dit leest heb je het gehaald!! Helemaal geweldig!! We zijn diep onder de indruk van je superprestatie. 11000 km wegtrappen onder barre omstandigheden is geen kattepis. 'Zijn hartstikke nieuwsgierig naar je foto's en verhalen. Als je terug bent zullen we wel een avondje beleggen.
Hoe zit het trouwens met de terugreis, al iets bekend, kan ik je ophalen, hoe laat kom je aan etc. Laat het allemaal even weten.
Ok, je zal wel een feestje gaan vieren, terecht, veel plezier en we horen van je..

Je kent me niet maar ik ben de dochter van Gerrit. Omdat hij geen blog bijhield hebben we met veel plezier o.a. jouw blog gelezen. Als je dit leest zitten er 11.000 kilometers in je benen. Een geweldige prestatie waar jullie allemaal trots op mogen zijn. Wat een doorzettingsvermogen in toch vaak barre omstandigheden. Ik hoop dat je hebt genoten van je tocht en ik wens je een goed weerzien met familie en dierbaren.
